I met Novena Carmel at the “Zulu party” and had the chance to take some pictures of her.
Novena is the daughter of Sly Stone. Sly is a musician, songwriter and record producer. As the frontman for the band Sly and the Family Stone, I think you all got to know him and with their hit in 1969 – Hot fun in the Summertime, wich became an Anthem.
At this time he is promoting his daughter’s group and has been spotted back in the lights with his daughter Novena.
Babystone is the creation of Novena, she is the lead vocalist, pianist, Itai Shapira is the guitarist/producer. Their music will funk you up. A new era of funk and soul creating a combination of melody, energy and stimulating songwriting.
Babystone live rocks the place up ! A recent performance was rated as one of the best shows of 2008 by The Urban Network Magazine.
