Dilated Peoples & Jedi Mind Tricks

Supafly DJ's Fatoosan & Mikigold shared the stage with some true heavyweights last Monday, as both Dilated Peoples and Jedi Mind Tricks came to do a concert on the same night at the Vooruit in Gent.

The place was packed with hiphop-heads from all over the country. We had the chance to play some of our more underground-favorites and the crowd was into it from the first tracks that we put through the speakers. It was clear that the people came for a night full of good music and good music only!

The first surprise of the evening came from DJ's Odilon & Ebkaito. The duo has put the fire to the audience with some crazy turntablism. Their set was so powerful and groovy! Here's a little video of one of the routines they did on stage.

After another short SupAfly DJ-set it was time for Dilated Peoples to rock the stage. And that's exactly what they did! They did tracks from the group's albums as well as some solo-stuff by MC's Evidence and Rakaa Iriscience. They had the audience dancing throughout their set -Look!- and they have proven that even after all those years they are still one of the best live acts in hiphop.

After a short set by DJ Lefto it was time for Jedi Mind Tricks to come on stage. The came raw and hardcore, just as we know them. Check!

When everybody had left the stage, it was time for SupAfly to take over again. We were very happy that so many people stayed after the concerts to dance and enjoy the good vibes.

Thank you Lefto for this great opportunity, it was a blast!
