In the fall of 2017, Supafly Collective launched a new series of events in collaboration with cultuurcentrum Berchem.The ladies invite some of their local music heroes to showcase their art in an intimate setting.
20h15: MY MIC SOUNDS NICE (docu)
A documentary by Ava DuVernay examining women's roles in hip-hop, including the differences in how the industry markets female artists and how hip-hop music has influenced them.
21h30 AMAZUMI (live)
AMAZUMI is flow, rhythm and word personified. A Nepalese from Hong Kong, she began her journey into HipHop while making a documentary about a Belgium-raised MC in London. Combining her love of speech and an irrepressible urge for creative expression, she began honing her skills in cyphers and actively performing in the underground circuit in London. Eventually she found herself in Gent where her distinct sound began to emerge.

This Antwerp MC with Portuguese roots moved to Brussels a while ago and became very close friends with the boys of Le 77 and Zwangere Guy. This year has been very successful for Salomé. She has been performing on many major Belgian festivals and finished 2017 with a concert at l’Ancienne Belgique where she performed as the first part of famous Manchester urban jazz artist IAMDDB. She raps with a sultry flow, sings with a sexy hoarse voice and occupies the stage like a queen.
